WOUND HEALING
6 HOURS - 9:30-4:30

In this class the student will have an understanding of how the process of injury to the skin is vital in knowing when to resume esthetic services, prescribing products and medical referrals. It is also critical to understand the stages of wound healing in order to give a professional prognosis to clients dealing with Acne, Rosacea, Dermatitis, Allergies, etc.

This class will include:

• Review of normal skin functions
• The skin and bodies immune response
• Pre and post surgical and non surgical procedures
• Allergic response in the skin
• Keloids, scars and pigmentation
• Esthetic ingredients to avoid and prescribe
• Resuming esthetic treatments and protocols
